Hey hey. Hopefully I can think of articles to post on here fairly regularly. If not, suck it. I'll probably write about movies I like, stuff I'm thinking about, or just anything. So here I am!

After watching Barack Obama's speech at the DNC, I have a renewed faith in the Democratic party and a new hope for SOME politicians. He believes America should not be divided into red and blue states, black and white, republican and democrat. We are the UNITED States of America, and I really think that's been lost on a lot of people during the election year. It was a refreshing speech, I do hope he is interested in running for President in the near future.

He believes America should not be divided

Does this mean he didn't get the "Two Americas" memo?

He is a very good speaker and did a great job speaking at the DNC, but let's be real about the fact that the ideas in his speech were nothing new to the US political scene. He is too young to think about running for President in the near future either. I mean give him a break; he has not even been elected to the US Senate yet. Let him serve in congress for a few terms and see if he can do that job first.

I think he'll do very well in Congress. Maybe it is just the way he delivered the speech, but he's got more to bring to the table than most other soon-to-be senators.
